About BlueJay Mind & Body
BlueJay Mind & Body is rooted in a simple belief: healing involves the whole person mind, body, and community.
We provide trauma-related care through a holistic, trauma-informed lens, recognizing that experiences of trauma, stress, grief, and adversity can affect both emotional well-being and the body. Our approach brings together mental health services, trauma-informed massage and wellness practices, education, and opportunities for meaningful connection.
We believe healing looks different for everyone. Our goal is to create spaces where people can feel respected, supported, heard, and empowered to better understand their experiences and develop tools to move forward.
BlueJay Mind & Body also works alongside local community providers and organizations to build stronger connections and expand access to supportive services. Through collaborative partnerships, groups, educational programming, and professional trainings, we strive to create a community where people do not have to navigate difficult seasons alone.
Whether through individual care, body-based wellness, community groups, or education and training, BlueJay Mind & Body is committed to bringing a trauma-informed perspective to the way we care for ourselves and one another.

Meet the Therapist
Hi, I’m Chelsey Thornhill, LPC, NCC, LCPC (S).
I’m a trauma therapist who believes that healing is not about becoming someone different—it’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been lost, overwhelmed, or pushed aside along the way.
My work focuses on trauma, complex and generational trauma, anxiety, addiction, grief, crisis, and the experiences that can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and the people around us. I work with teens and adults using a trauma-informed, whole-person approach.
I’m trained in EMDR, Hypnotherapy, TF-CBT, Somatic Therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, narrative approaches, and trauma-informed movement practices. I believe therapy should be collaborative and that you should have a voice in your own healing.
My professional experiences have also shaped the way I understand trauma beyond the therapy room. Working with crisis populations, first responders, veterans, families, and individuals navigating difficult seasons has taught me the importance of meeting people where they are—not where we think they should be.
Through Blue Jay Mind & Body, I’m continuing that philosophy by bringing mental health, body-based care, education, community connection, and collaboration together.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you reach out. Sometimes the first step is simply having a safe place to start.
— Chelsey.
